Explorer Intake Cover Version 3.0
Did a little mod on the intake cover today after I noticed how hot the cover got after driving.

I cut out the section with the 4 raised strips and put in some gutter guard type mesh to get a little air flow going. Black bar running down the middle is for some added support. Not a huge deal because I'm probably only going to run with the cover on at car shows, but I think it looks kinda cool.
put some aluminum leaf on the mesh to match the raised SOHC 4.0L
And don't hate on the blue pin stripes-they're staying--for now.

If the weather cooperates and I hit a show on Sunday, I'll get some 'installed' pics.

I also redid my intake tube AGAIN-the silver paint that I had just didn't last-I ended up using Rusto Spray-on Bedliner. I put a die-cut Ford oval decal on before I sprayed it, and then sprayed over it for a subtle touch.
