Hey yall i have a 96 ford ranger 2.3 i started experiencing clicking when i went to start it so i went poking around i dont have an owers manual for it but online told me to try to find the starter relay an with a wire jump it for an easy way to test the start well i went poking around the relays and found the now what i know to be the pcm relay under the hood it sparked when i jumed it and now i dont have spark or fuel pump i got it cranking good but i dont know what i did to it the truck ran good it just started clicking now it wont run can someone help

You probably just had a loose/dirty battery cable

Check fuse 12 and 13 in the Engine bay fuse box, 20 and 30 amp fuses

I checked all the big fuses and mini fuses and they are all good

 

12 and 13, don't just "look" pull them out and maybe swap with another fuse of the same AMP value

Fuse 19(25amp), in Cab Fuse box, has 12v with key on, it powers the Coil pack and turns on PCM relay

When key is turned on the PCM relay should CLICK closed, have a friend turn on the key while you are at the engine fuse box, put your finger on PCM relay

PCM relay powers the PCM(engine computer) and the fuel pump relay(not fuel pump), it alsi powers fuel injectors,
Fuel pump relay will only CLICK once and then go OFF after 2 seconds, it doesn't stay on, it will come back on after engine is running, 400+ RPMs

PCM relay stays on until key is turned off
