2011 Ranger Heating Issues
Hello everyone I have 2 issues and would like to know if any of you have a fix.
1) The middle *** on the dash (the one that changed how hot or cold the air is) has never worked since I got it. No matter what setting it is on, the air always blows hot. When I switch to MAX AC, it blows cold air, so the AC works. I just wanted to see if there was a fix for my own piece of mind.
2) The left driver side vent seems to struggle blowing air. The rest of the vents work fine, except that one which takes it's sweet time to catch up and doesn't blow as hot or cold as the rest.
If anyone knows what either of these could be, it would be awesome. They are minor things and I do still get hot and cold, but it would be nice to get both of those fixed if I could. Thank you!

#1 is a failed Blend Door actuator motor, common issue on Fords, and Rangers 1995 and up, it is an electric motor

This may also help drivers side vent pass more air
The air direction Vents are controlled by just 2 doors that are vacuum operated, Defrost, Panel, Floor
No Vacuum = Defrost

Look on the right/lower area for Outside air, that's air from the vent under the cowl
Then there is a the re-circulation door, this is vacuum operated and only used when you select MAX AC, V = vacuum applied, NV = no vacuum applied
This vent closes off outside air and re-cools inside cab air......for MAX AC, lol. AC is only ON or OFF, it doesn't have 2 speeds
The Blower sucks in the air, outside or Cab air, and blows it thru the Evaporator, AC Cools this part, air ALWAYS travels thru the Evaporator, it is also used to DRY the air for better Defrost of windows, thats why AC Compressor may cycle on and off when Defrost is selected
After the Evaporator the air is directed either thru the Heater Core or around heater core by the Electric Blend Door, the door can be set in any position, not just open or closed, so heat can be "blended"
After heater core air can be directed to floor/panel or defrost, V and NV, PV is partial vacuum so door is 1/2 way open
Defrost door is last, V or NV
NV on both doors = Defrost
