Probably a rookie question....I just inherited my Dad's pristine 2010 2wd with 15" OEM rims and 225/70/15 tires. Can I put a 235/75/15 tire on it (same rims)? I found a set of new but older (2018) Goodyear Wrangler 235/75/15's at Pep Boys for $60 each. Put em' on??
CRITICAL INTEL: I want it to look like a 4wd, but ride like a car. I don't plan it seeing dirt.

As said, Yes !
Also remember the larger you go in tire size a decrease in MPG will show its ugly head.
One or two sizes larger may not appear to be a problem but keep it in mind, power and mpg goes down hill as tire size goes up !
