Before and After - New Tires and Rims

I own a 97 Ford Ranger Supercab 4x4 and the rims were starting to show their age. The clear coat was starting to come off so I decided to start looking for some new rims. I was also running some Good Year Wranger Radials in 235/75/15 on my truck. There are a great road tire but I was looking for a tire that was a bit more aggressive with a bit more off-road capability. I found a great deal on four BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO in 245/75/16.

Once I got the tires, I started looking for some 16" rims for my truck. Thanks to the classified on this forum, I seen that LayingFrame89, was selling one of my favorite Ford Ranger rims in 16".

So I bought the rims from Josh and got everything installed this morning. Also went ahead and added a Westin Bull Bar to the front of the truck.

It really transformed the truck.

A big thanks to LayingFrame89 (Josh) from this forum on a smooth transaction for an awesome set of rims.

So here is the before and after.

Before with the 15" factory rims and Good Year Wrangers in 235/75/15

After with the new 16" Rims off a 2006 Ranger and new BF Goodrich 245/75/16

I'm still using the chromed center cap from my old rims on the front since I have to cut out the center of the new caps for my Warn Manual Locking Hubs.

The rear with the new center caps.
