that sucks dude, hope its not too much damage. a customer of mine had that happen on her blazer, but her caliper brackets kept the axles from coming out... good luck on repairs

If it were me... I'd take the time to find a 31spline exploder axle with 4.10 gears and disc brakes... Then just SOA and you're good to go... Sucks what happened though man!

i got my new 8.8 today, i sandblasted it and painted it, ill post pics tomorrow, and ill post some of my old 7.5...

be lucky it didnt happen in the woods. We had a kid break the shaft on his ranger on a trail with a couple rock faces left to go to get out. It took us a couple hours to get him out.

yup, just as i suspected, the cross pin broke.

the 7.5 comes from the factory with a notched cross pin and it the weakest link in the axle.

i would suggest anyone that builds up a 7.5 puts a solid hardened cross pin in it.

At first I was like: WTF? Why does he have the wheels off and two jacks holding the truck up on the side of the road... Then I realize your tires werent sitting up and down and thoes were axle shafts.

That is dangerous. It could have easily totaled the truck and/or killed someone.
