Out a truck for a week

When I bought my ranger over this past summer I soon realized that the guy who owned it before me wasn't very good at driving stick, and then I soon learned he had a hearing aid and doesnt hear quite so well, so that doesnt help. Anyways...I brought my truck into the dealership yesterday to get an oil change and had them check out the clutch because I thought it was starting to worsen and possibly be in need of some repair, and sure enough they told me that my slave cylinder needed to be replaced. So I got my appointment to get that fixed next thursday and got in my truck to go back home and the mechanic made my clutch 10 times worse! Now the clutch slips if I step on the gas too hard...so needless to say I'm out a vehicle until I bring it back in next Thursday.

technically i suppose you could say its drivable because I made it the 30 minute trip from the dealership to my house without breaking down, but slipping clutch isnt too fun to drive in, and I dont want to risk breaking down the next time I take it out. I donno what they did when they were checking the slave cylinder, but whatever they did made the clutch worse for the time being

take it to another shop. I have driven vehicals with major slippage, its not fun, but you drove it in there with MINOR slippage, now u have MAJOR slippage, you mean to tell me that the clutch packs disintergrated in under a day of sitting in a garage? I dont think so. I say they screwed it up or something. I mean seriously, If it worked 'ok' before u drove it there, and now it barely works, im sorry but they shouldnt break it/make it worse by simply looking at it/diagnosing the problem.

Like I said, something doesnt smell right.

yea slippage didnt even occur before i brought it in, but i had a feeling that they should check it out anyways.......basically the only thing preventing me from bringing it to another shop is that the new slave cylinder is under warranty so i gotta go through them for the warranty work
