Picture Request Hurst Shifter Installed

I have an 02 Ext Cab 4.0 looking to get a hurst shifter installed on in the next few weeks and was curious if I would lose my front cup holders and that whole black plastic cover. Pictures and ideas would be great.

Thanks all

you won't lose anything. The rubber sleeve fits into your existing bezel (plastic console)

Are there any bezels that could take the place of the one that I currently have installed. mine is really tight since I installed a cb right in front of the shifter.

Thanks Wayne

Here's a few....my truck and brothers and possibly austin's....

BTW..I'd sometimes hit my mic where it plugs into the radio...it doesn't hit, even if the pics look it.

MAde this to make mine more comfortable for me with the 1" BL...works great with the now 3" BL...You can do that to get the arm out of the way of the radio..and make it more comfortable.

I think this is going to be on my list really soon. I will mod it up where my CB is to make it work real nice.

it's a short shifter......meaning shorter throw, more positive gear engagement, cooler looking(although you do have the Fx4 chrome arm). What the hurst does, is move the pivot ball of the shifter from INSIDE the trans, to ABOVE the trans, thus creating a shorter throw.

There's two how-to's on the hurst......one is the actual install and the other is improvements to the hurst. Can be found in our How-to section. Within ones of those threads, shows the shift throw differences.

okayyy i will take a look thanks yeah i like the shift setup on mine.. only reason i dont change it is cause well my FX4 stuff are matching between the tcase and tranny sticks.. its actually really clean looking to me.

You can take your Fx4 shifter ball and put in on the hurst arm.
