Plastic thing under RAD
Plastic thing under RAD
Whats the plastic thing under the radiator called? big plastic piece bolted to the frame with two bolts. i tore mine off and do i need a new one or its it just some dumb pos that i don't need
I wondered that too. When I was welding in my front hitch my buddy asked "What's all this plastic sh** for?"
Maybe to "protect" the bottom of the radiator, otherwise I don't know why it's needed

its techinally an air dam for the radiator. i tore mine up a little bit when i hit that mud at the beach last summer. It has a little air duct thing in it on the bottom. I still have mine, it has a small tear in it, but nothing a few drill holes and zip ties wouldnt take care of. still have bolts too. pm me and i can sell it to ya

you can see the small tear. Also, see the air duct. I have since cleaned it up though, its not covered in mud

lol thats not a flap, that is part of it that is tore. thats where it needs to be fixed at. the "air dam" i was talking about is that port you see on the bottom that uns the length of the thing is about 1 1/2" wide
i just stitched mine with zipties just now. but the piece behind thatl that is falling down whats that called
i took a simular piece off my old ladies car a few months later i hit a cat doing 70MPH took out the radiator, a/c condenser, fan blades and fan shroud and few other parts mine looks like crap on the truck but its staying on till i make up a skid plate and test it on another cat
