Possibly stupid question but need to know
I need a alternator for my truck so I can actually enjoy driving it again
I cant afford 225 dollars for a new alternator. I found some at junkyards from a couple 2008 rangers they either say Manual or Automatic it doesn't matter what transmission it is does it? Only difference is the price.
I thought that was just required for starters

That would then explain the amp difference also then One is rated 95-98 the other is 115
hopefully this one can last awhile until I can just buy a brand new one didnt think a new one was gonna cost 225

Yah everything is barged here so we usually get screwed. I just bought a laptop today and Dell charged me 69$ for overnight shipping (and refused free shipping) because there's "no ground shipping". It'll still take a week to get home though.
im gonna go out on a limb here, but do you have an electric place that rebuilds starts and alternators? Here in Mt. Airy, we have a place called Linebacks Electric. They rebuild YOUR alternator by replacing the brushes and stuff in the alternator. It only cost like 25 dollars, and walla....NEW alternator! i was just wondering, it may be cheaper to go that route bc most of the time all that needs replacing in the alternator is the brushes...
