Get a set of white gauges from a Sport Trac and swap out the lights for blue and cut the green film out. Or look at http://usspeedo.com/home.html.

The first gen Sport Trac gauges are just like the Ranger gauges. Do you have a tach? Do you want one? Then something like this is what you want. If you just want to throw on a gauge face kit then look at http://usspeedo.com/home.html.

The gauges are a direct bolt in. There is already wiring for the tach in the dash. You just can't use any of the gauges that have a digital odometer.

Well all the wiring is combined. So you would just unplug the connectors from the old cluster and plug them into the new cluster and the tach will work. You don't need extra wiring or anything.

Pictured above and linked above is the build of my Explorer Sport white faced cluster...with 36 5mm blue LEDs soldered on.

If your truck is a 95-03 ranger, you can swap one of these things in. They are white faced, have a tach, have orange needles, and is a direct swap even if you don't have a tach, it's a direct swap and everything will work. You can swap your current odometer to your new gauge cluster...it's really simple really. Here's a link to what I used to roll the new odo or for swapping your old one into the new cluster...

I just bought needles from usspeedo and they dont fit. I am trying to get ahold of them now. I would wait until we know for sure if thier producs can/will work before you do anything.

And oh, if you truck is a 2004 or newer it is a different method for removing the needles. Check my vid on the subject for help.

yea...still can't get that damn thing to shut off. i've tried everything i've searched. Fx4 Level 2 seats went in, light came on, tried all to cure it, no luck...only thing i havnt done is get a brand new air bag switch.

Since original poster does not have a tach, he definately does not have a 04+.

Jp7, take a caliper to your pins that the needles slide onto, i'll take a caliper to mine to compare the stud sizes....sizes could be different...never know.

I will when I get home....

A little side note on the usspeedo.com needles - they look fantastic with the blue LED's The quality of the needles is really good, basically they are similar to stock in design, but instead of using the transparent orange plastic, they use clear. Then to get color on them they paint the bottom edge. the blue ones are going to work perfect for my cluster but there is the fitting issue. The problem is the holes in the bottom of the needles is just a tiny, tiny bit too big and there isnt enough friction to hold them tight. You can put them on and turn the cluster upside down and they just fall off. I'm also sure its loose enough that when the motors spin the shafts the needles will just slide because the hole is too big. When I called them yesterday they said that there are smaller ones and the tech thinks I need those. I'll let you guys know when I get it figured out.
