Is professional injector cleaning worth it?

A local shop near me does some fancy pants ultrasonic injector cleaning and then they replace the o rings and test them for 10 bucks each. I've always just blown some pressurized carb cleaner through them and called it a day. But I'm pulling them out anyway because I have to remove my intake manifold so figured why not. Is it worth 40 bucks (2.3L) to have them gone over while I have it apart? Also any other maintenance you think a duratec should have if you have the intake apart? (Besides the pcv valve, already did that).

I cannot say for this particular problem but i use ultrasonic cleaners at work and they do work very well on getting every crumb of stuff off them. Usually has to be flushed out with some kind of cleaner afterwards

Not sure there would be a benefit unless the engine sits for over 3 months at a time, or has had a fuel pressure issues in the past

Point of ultrasonic cleaning is to break up crusty varnish that forms from air in the system, from gasoline evaporating

If I ever get the time...
Mine sat for 8 years, so I'm sure they need cleaning.

I plan on setting my compressor to 60 psi and running that pressure with some carb cleaner through them (or lacquer thinner, what ever works best to break up old varnish) _ reverse flushing them too.

My truck runs OK, but when it's cold there's a slight surging/bucking that is still barely detectable when it's hot.
I'm chalking that up to a poor spray pattern, since the entire system has been gone through with no codes.

if you do its the one product i recommend gettign the extended warranty. I read that on several forums so when i bought mine i bought the warranty. Sure enough about 2 months later it died (no heat) so got a new one. Woulda been screwed if i only had the standard 30 day...Extended warranty is less than $10 and good for 2 years so its worth it.
