professional lift install

Is this a reasonable price for a lift install, $1500 for the lift (superlift 3-4), $850 labor (includes front aligment), $250 cv front driveshaft, comes out to $2600 drive off price

I would do it myself but since i have moved i dont have a shop anymore and all i have now is just basic hand tools. can it be done with just hand tools or do you have to have specialty tools also?

One guy told me and showed me the book on superlift and minimum charge for labor was $700, which is what they charged, so you might be able to find it a little cheaper but not much

only specialty tool you need is a torsion bar key tool. and pitman arm puller i think too. but if you dont have a air tool setup, its gonna take awhile.

you can do it all with hand tools. like chris said you need the torsion bar piece or a nice 2 arm puller.

After i finally got the instuctions to download i think im goin to leave the install to the professionals, cause ive done a BL but never done a suspension or know anyone who has. I could figure it out but if i ran onto any major problems (which i would) i would not be able to get to work on Monday.

It is crazy because on my 2000, I bought a body lift and had the guys install it and it cost like $350 total. That was like 5 or 6 years ago though

The superlift install is pretty easy I think. Took me about 2 days going slow and all with hand tools having never taken apart a front-end before.
