Nose Job...What I did today

Well I started the conversion. Stripped the body off my 99 and installed the 01 edge front end. Its back together but I didn't get a after pic. Here's the before and during...lol

I worked in the garage so I wasn't cold. I am waiting for parts for my project truck so I decided to go for it on this swap. By the time I got done it was dark out and I didn't have enough room to get a decent picture inside the garage. Basically a straight forward swap and bolt on. The only issues are the extra turnsignal bulb and I had to change plugs for the marker lights. Even though body swap is a 99, it has a 98 harness and the plugs are different on the 98...99 is the same as 01. I will have to figure out how to handle the extra ts. If you just put an old burnt out bulb in the socket it blinks too fast. I still have to try out the fog lights, I have to round up the 01 pigtails, I know there here somewhere...lol. Of course I still have to paint it black. I did however paint all the edges and the backsides so white wouln't show when opening doors or in the cracks of the bumper/grill. I'll get a picture in the morning. I have to go pick up the front axle for my other truck in pittsburgh. I got it for 300 hub to hub so I thought that was a fair price. Including rotors, spindles, axle shafts and all but thats another story...lol

Thanks Daniel, I was thinking about that. Does it hold up?
Thanks Maurice and all... The worst of it is done now, just have to finish up the loose ends and paint.

yeah, just put a decent amount of tape around it, make sure its not the really cheap electrical tape or it will fall off.

if you could get some gaffers tape, that would work a lot better.

make sure you put tape around the socket part to keep water out of it.

I took everything apart and painted in the cracks so when I spray it all will be painted. Just makes painting it easier.
