Question about chiggers in Truck

I purchased a rubber floor out of a junkyard Ranger. I brought it hime and washed it. It had some padding attached. I put it right over my carpeting. There were chiggers in it. I threw the rubber floor out. But I can't get rid of the chiggers. They hibernated over the winter. But when the weather got warm thwy are worse than ever. I bought a steamer. I have sprayed with chigger camping spray. I most recently unsed a garden spray for chiggers. Anyone else ever have an issue and what did you do. The winter got got cold here and they survived. Been in there about a year.

I've heard of someone killing off black widows in a car by heating it in a paint booth at curing temps.

I sold the truck in part because of this problem. Had I live at home where I had a garage I would have tried a space heater and getting it up to 140 degrees. Sold my truck thanks to these things. They are really bad.
