I pulled my passanger side spindle/CV/HalfShaft out just now and the whole axle shaft came out with it. Is is supposed to or is there something broken in the diff. There seems to be a place for a clip on the axle, but it slid right out. Help!!

 

not to sure but i think thats the way its suposed to be...

 

thats right!
there should be alittle ring at the end of the shaft..but it doesnt look like yours has one!
but yeah it just slides in & out like that!

 

Not on the front axle, Tommy. No c-clips up there. That looks right.

 

yes! the front axles have clips (snap ring!) not c clips!
Just like on CV shafts on front wheel drive cars!

Is this the clip you are talking about Tommy? So when I get the new HalfShaft is it going to have that piece or do I need to take it off of this one and reuse it?
