Broke a chunk of of my exaust valve i did a compression cheak and found 0 psi in this cilinder so i tore down the motor and found this looks like ill have to order new heads come next pay day. I might as well replace both sides while i have it torn this far down.

Except for the color.

Just kidding Earl. If your going to replace them you going to go with any performace style heads or just plain factory heads.

that was me pumping at the nelson house fire in salem For perspective on truck size im 6'2" tall

Luckly it was the exaust valve and it is some wear in my cat i guess no damage to the lower end so im going to replace both heads while i have it this far apart as soon as i get the 300+ dollors

What about the head is damaged? Can't you just replace the valves? That'd be a lot cheaper!

Good thing it was the exhaust valve. Did that just happen because of age, or do you think it was something else?

How in the heck did you break every exhaust manifold bolt off IN the head? Could you not break them loose with an impact wrench or something?
