projector headlights

Hi:
So I was looking at these Spyder projector headlights(PRO-YD-FR01-1PC-HL-BK) and was wondering if anybody has actually purchased them and what they think of them?

What would really be awesome is if someone with the same front end as my 2004 Ranger has a set?

I am NOT looking for the cool factor I want some headlights that are better than the crap that come from the factory.

My 97 Ranger headlights were garbage and so are the headlights in this 2004
Ranger IMO.

I really hate buying something online without being able to see them first.
If anyone has bought other projector headlamps for a 2004 Ranger I would like to hear from you?

I sure wish the Ranger had a 4 bulb headlamps.

And for the record I have ZERO interest in putting HID bulbs into a halogen headlamp so please don’t suggest that as a solution to my headlight problem.
Thanks
Roger

Since we're too lazy to look up what you're referring to because we don't have a link presented to us, are you talking about those eBay 1 piece headlights that feature a projector??

If so it looks like this and the output is garbage from the cheap *** projo...

Go another route if you want actual performance lighting. Search "projector" in your search box and you'll most likely come across a couple build threads of projector retrofits on Rangers using either a kit or all from scratch using like a BMW or Jag or someother projo from another vehicle.

these lights are fine for hid but only after you remove the metal block that is screwed into the cutoff shield, that is what causes that glare spot above the cutoff. i have them and the light output is very good, butstill no match for a proper retro

I did a retrofit from the retrosource, bixenon PnP kit, and when i was done and installed everything back up the tabs that held the new bulb to the housing that came with the kit snapped when the hid came on. So Even retro fits have their risks.
