Ranger Publicity...

I have been reading Petersons 4WOR and 4 Wheeler now for over a year... is it just me or are rangers just scarce when it comes to being in magazines? i know, i know i have seen a few too.. and they are SICK, but i have seen very little coverage on rangers in either of those magazines.

anyone notice the same thing?

Ya I do. I only read the 4wheel parts magazine and I don't think I have ever seen a ranger in there. It seems to be all fullsize trucks and some crappy old s-10s when I read it. Oh and tacomas.

yea... idk whats to hate about rangers.. mb they are smaller then an F-350 w/ about 6' of lift...

for me, i hit the trails w/ a stock F-250 and a 2500 w/ 11" of lift on 38" swampers... they wont try some of the stuff i do

anyways, thats my opinion, my truck has taken a crap load of beating and still complies w/ all i give it

i think a lot of that has to do with the fact that ford is not pushing the ranger anymore... too bad i cause i really like these trucks but the truck market is moving away from small trucks like the ranger and ford has other problems to deal with

I like my ranger.......I like being able to wip it into parking places, and get really good gas mileage........I dont need a big truck anyways.

I'll let you guys in on a little secret... what is in the magazines, for the most part, has nothing to do with the manufacturers. It has everything to do with what you the readers want to read about. And the only way the Editors will know what you the readers want to read about is if you tell them. You know the saying 'The squeeky wheel gets the grease'? Start squeekin'.

The contact information for most of the editors are listed on the web sites. Just pop on there and shoot them an email. Who knows, maybe in the future we will see more Rangers in the magazines.

Excellent point.

Doesn't matter to me though. Let 'em feature what they want.
