I had a slider on my old ranger. Solid on the current one. I don't miss the slider at all.

I like the looks of a solid window better but the use of a slider better.

I voted to keep the slider.

If you have a regular cab you use the slider a lot more...I love mine. I rarely use the a/c, except when the lady rides...blows her hair all over the place.

I've got a slider on my 02. Used it some the first few months. After that I've NEVER had it open. As far as I'm concerned it's just a place for dust/dirt, rain water and road noise to come through. If you need more "air flow," that's what you have a fan for.
Just my $.02

problem is, the fan uses a/c all the time, there is no way to switch it off.

Solid looks better, keep the slider if you use it. If not trade.

never had a truck with one ... wouldnt be opposed to getting one however if something happens to the solid

only thing i hear is they rattle open easy with a system

as for the earlier comment about only replacing one section of glass ... more often than not youre stuck buying the entire window.
