Another reason to like the SUPERcab, the 2004 models do not do Pinto imitations

I had no choice, couldn't get the 4.0L 4x4 with a stick in the regular cab. I refuse to drive an automatic.

I considered going that route myself but I wanted the 4.0 more than I wanted the regular cab. And they had this FX4 thing that was brand new in 2002 it was everything I wanted except the stupid cab. In the end it doesn't matter much because what I really wanted was a 7 foot bed like you used to be able to get, and both the regular and stupid cabs have 6 foot beds. Now if the regular cab had a 7 foot bed option in 2002 I would probably have gone with the 3.0.

I'm only 6' tall, and my reg cab is a squeeze for me... My seat won't tilt enough if my legs are stretched, but if I tilt my seat my knees are in the dash... But I'm with Wowak, I wanted a reg cab and a stick so I went ahead and settled with the 3.0

Yea... I'll take my SuperCab over a regular anyday... heck you cant even lay the seat back in Reg cab, how you supposed to nap in it? :) And hauling small stuff in the cab, cant do that with a regular cab. Works good for stuff you dont want floating around the bed, or dont have room for when the bed is full. I can on for days about the advantages of an extended cab. Whats the advantage to haveing a single cab?

Doesnt sound to me like this is getting un-civil. It's actually kinda interesting hereing why people chose the truck they did. Heck, this should be its own Topic instead of piggybacking on the "Recal" thread!

I didnt have a choice, my dad was the one who bought the truck for me and his stipulation were it had to be a truck and had to be ford... heheh left me with little room to pick. Concidering I'm 5'6 I just feel goofy in a full size, and extended cabs were to high priced.

A reg. cab could never do for me.. I purposely wanted an ext. cab over a reg. cab for 2 reasons; 1. so i could fit (im about 6'5 so i know where sk0t is comin from!), and 2. so my system could fit!

I would have purchased a supercab if I could have afforded it at the time.

I actually went from a supercab XLT to a regular cab. I hated it at first, but it has grown on me. I loved the fact that I could throw more **** in the supercab than the regular. Even if I put just a couple things in the regular cab, it already looks like a pig stye (sp?) I also liked the fact that I could nap pretty good in the supercab. That's not bad when you need to crash. Plus the supercab feels more safe to me. I guess just because it's bigger. But the regular cab is easier to park.

Reasons I like my regular cab, and purposely bought it opposed to an extended cab...

1) turn radius is better
2) looks better, especially lifted, but this is only my opinion
3) lighter, faster, easier to fit into tight spaces... just more nimble
4) when both passengers are girls, 2nd and 4th gear are a passage to good times 8)

Iv owned two 98 rangers, one a reg cab and one a ext and I like the ext cab a lot better. The weight savings doesnt really seem like that big of a deal to me, I dont race my truck and I doubt the difference would be very noticable in the rocks. I guess the turn radius thing is the only real benefit to me but I plan on moving my rear axle forward and bobbing my bed anyway so that solves that.

I totally Agree..... It's a pain in the *** trying to haul stuff in the cab when It's raining.....
