Removing Rear bumper
I need to remove my rear bumper. Suppose to be a ice/snow storm rolling in tommrow. I need to know what size socket I need and how many bolts.
Got to get this thing off and shipped ASAP |

Four 18mm head bolts, straight up on the braces.

I think its a 17mm or 19mm, number of bolts I do not remember. I'm pulling up the BL instructions right now to double check.

Its 4 19mm bolts and you will have to take the hitch off it is is mounted under the bumper.

You WILL NOT have to remove the hitch. The hitch mounts to the frame under the bumper, not to the bumper. They are entirely independant of each other.

Eating my own words... An aftermarket hitch may share the bumpers mounting points. The factory class III hitch (like mine) will not have to be removed.

Yeah it depends who made the hitch, someone mount different than others.

factory one mounts on the four bumper mounts and then an additional 2 mounts on the sides of the frame aftermarket ones, most only mount on the bumper mounts |
