Repair Manuals
So I tried searching the Forum for some information about manuals but came up with old posts and of course recommendation of the Ford published manual to be the best but for $$$$$ (can't afford that right now) so can anyone that has had experience with the FORD Service and Repair Manual on DVD that are sold on eBay give me some feedback please? I need one for my 2003 Ford Ranger, I found this on eBay:

I just discovered that I have a broken valve spring that led to my 0 compression on cyl #1, so during the replacement process I need to know specs and tightening torques for what I remove and replace. For my BMW I have the Robert Bentley manual and have on DVD the factory TIS Manual that's very comprehensive, nor sure if there is a comparable publication detailing the 2003 3.0l Ranger. Thanks for asking
I honestly don't know if the 01 and 03 have the same specs. Possibly? I will be replacing valve cover gaskets, the broken spring so I will be doing an R&R on the rocker arm, I will also be doing an R&R on the intake manifold (mine is composite) and I will be replacing my cracked driver's side exhaust manifold and replacing my O2 sensors. Much appreciate it! Thank You! If you PM me I can send you my email address for the pages :)
You probably will want to have a machine shop freshen up the heads. The heads need to be checked for squareness and decarbonized. The heads need to be gone through replacing high wear parts like valve guides, springs, rockers, and valves. The timing chain, sprockets, and water pump will all be good candidates to be changed as well.
This is not going to be cheap. The heads can easily cost $600-900. Then gaskets (I like Fel-Pro), timing chain, sprockets, water pump, thermostat. and possibly new hoses and serpentine belt (Gatorback) if it has not been changed. You could have upwards of $1300-1500 with you doing all of the work but the heads.
