They are identifiers to indicate left and right -- but why pink and blue I don't know. Mine said 1 and 2.

maybe its to stop confusion cuz left could be the left side from front or back. then they could have just said driver and passenger... i dont know.

I picked up Q's stock blocks last night and noticed this also.Anyone know what the difference is and which side is which?Mine say Gold-Purple on one and Orange-Brown on the other. They look exactly the same but I want to put them on correctly.

Pink =s left and blue =s right. Leftists are pinkos, that is, reds. Rightists are blue. Thus, for example, red (liberal) states and blue (conservative) states in national elections.

Ok,when I looked it up by application at a Ford parts dept. there is only one choise for a 4X2 2001 Ranger but it does list a left and right. The blocks I've got have 2 different part numbers which don't even come close to what Ford lists.I did every kind of measurement I could and they are exactly the same.I am just going to put them in tonight and see what happens.Maybe I am looking into this to deep.

They are now in the truck.I double checked everything and I could tell absolutely no difference from side to side. The blocks are identical.Anyway,it is good to not be sagging in the rear again.Everything fit fine and bolted up like factory which is better than those crappy aftermarket blocks. Thanks again Q!
