ok, time for rears. i was looking around and came across a 9" and a 10" drum, which one would i have?
also for rears, what are your recommendations? just stockers?
i haven't bought the fronts yet since i want to do the front and rear at the same time.

look at the dates on the posts, my fronts were taken care of months ago. i'm lookin at replacing parts now. i know my fronts are getting close to changing and the rears i might as well do at the same time "since i'm in there".
david, my options are in my sig.
kyle and kevin, thanks for verifying. i might order the rears local and see if i can get hawk pads and some drilled rotors local. if not, i'll order from the links patrick gave me.

i ordered it that way for milage. i don't plan on going big for a while anyways. so even with a 31s, i'm not too worried about off the line exceleration/low end torque.

so i tried to see if i could buy hawk's local and to see what else was out there and cost and i got weird looks from both places i went to. the first was partsource (a canadian company, part of canadian tire) and napa. partssource guy was a chldhood buddy and tried to sell me on the wagner quiet brand for pads and shoes and ATE slotted rotors. total w/o drums $429. i know i can do better.
what got me was the napa guy was like "wtf you wanna put that specific brand of pads on your truck". i fed him b.s. saying they are good for this truck size. really though, who cares what type i want to run? it's my choice as it is anybody elses.

the wagner pads and ate rotors are very good parts
i had them on my reg cab ranger , they grab like a SOB and are very quiet too
caused me some pretty scary moments on snow covered roads
had to re-learn the brakes in winter

i'm looking at other options, i've heard that greenstuff ones work pretty good too. they are priced pretty similar to the wagners. partsource priced the ATE slotted rotors for $211 for both and pads for $87.
the greenstuff slotted rotors are $220-$230 and the pads are $90-$109 depending on if i go to o'riely's or pep boys. pep boys being cheeper.
