Hi all!

i have a 2012 Ford ranger, 2.2 diesel. I have been troubleshooting a starting issue for some time, and i thought that i should Ask here before i leave it to some professional.


When i start the car, the starter cranks the engine for a few seconds, then stops, without the car started up. I then have to turn the key again. This procedure is repeated for from 3-35 times before the car starts up.


When running, everything is fine- engine sounds good, no smoke etc.


I have replaced glowplugs, glowplug control unit, fuel filter and airfilter. No luck. Electric heater makes no difference.


In thinking it must me fuel related.


Do anyone of you guys have any input?
