Old news, and I think it's 1992-02. But thanks for the heads up.

If it hasn't caught fire by now, odds are it's not going to.

If this is the same recall im thinking off i had one on my E150, they just put another fuse or something like that in the brake booster, takes a whole 2 minutes for them to do, they didnt even take mine from the garage that you sign the truck in to the service garage, they just did it there in the garage that you sign in at in and out in 5 minutes

I had it done, and I think it took them longer to get the part than fix it. Get it done!

actually i think this affects all rangers, and f150's up to 2004. i remember reading about this a LONG time ago. which is why its VERY rare i park my truck in my garage over night.

1992~2004 Ford vehicles.

The recall for Rangers is 98 through 2002. The switch, circuit and fusing were improved on 2003-up Rangers.

Got mine in the mail today too. Wish they would re-call it and fix all the other stupid crap that has went to hell on my truck. Then again...I would hate to have it burn up too.

I got my notice friday. I had been wondering if they would ever send me a notice I went straight to the dealership and it took them about 20 minutes to change the part.
