ive been looking at a scan guage for a little while now and was wondering what features dont work on rangers and is it worth having for the money you spend on it?

Thanks

I really liked mine when I had it on my Ranger. That was before the Ultra Gauge was out though so there wasn't really another option.

Not to turn this into an Ultragauge vs. Scangauge thread, but if you are looking for something with a more reasonable price, than Ultraguage is the way to go. They're about a hundred bucks cheaper.

Both are good. I opted for a Scan Gauge II.

I got a Garmin GPS a while back, and never really used it because of this reason, but I just recently hooked it up now I forget it's even there unless I'm intentionally using it. Unlike a GPS though, a gauge doesn't have to be on the window, so you could always mount it somewhere else, like under the center stack, or on the dash like SteelDirigible.

the UG is taller, but not as wide and thinner than the scangauge.

i do wish it would show volts.

I put my UG in the upper left corner of the windshield, just like that. Only problem is the mirror hits it. I am planning on moving it to right on top of the rearview mirror soon.

Scan gauge ftw

I love it, and it works on almost all of my odbII vehicles.
