Seats

Are there any bucket/racing seats that will fit with the shorty console?
Besides explorer or the red level 2 seats I have.....

explorer is about the only true "bolt in" seat for the ext cabs (98+). however, mustang, bronco II seats and others can be made to fit.

as for seat covers, any upholstery shop can make them. i make them all the time. i wouldn't go to the dealership. they can get them (as long as they aren't discontinued), however, you will pay twice as much for the covers as most places will charge to recover.

So your saying I can take my old worn red level 2 seat covers to an upholstery shop and they can make the same exact ones?

yes. we have books that we call detroit books. all they are is samples of all the factory materials. we get a new one each year. have them all the way back to the 70s. now, some factory materials get discontinued shortly after production and may not be available. but for an 04, they should be available.

i would shop around. it's just like any other type of business, some do good work, while others do what they have to do to get things out.
