The most important thing is make it what you want as best you can.

If she wants a lowered 4X4, no matter how ghey that is, a lowered 4X4 it should be.

its a short version of my truck! love it, however, i do have to say one thing! they want how much for this truck? i have the x-cap of this truck Ben, mine had 26000 miles on it when i bought it, thats 1k less than that one, and i got me SUPERCAB 4x4 JUST LIKE THIS for $14,500 ... so i dk about price wise, you can find like 2003-2006 level IIs for that SAME PRICE! id definitly try to come sown a little lower on the price, it IS reg cab.... i know i know mine ia year older than this one, but it just doesnt add up to me! a Reg cab just like mine for 500 dollars MORE than what i paid for my supercab....heck use me as an example, tell em you know a guy who got this exact truck in ex-cap model from a "ford" dealership for 14,500...

if you dont mind me askin is 15k what they are asking? they were asking 17000 for mine and i talked em down to 14,500.... i dont see why you couldnt get this truck for 13500-14500....

i say new wheels and tires and lift! or heck just new wheels and tires!

I think if you lowered it a little on some 18's or something that it would look very good. It would still be VERY functional, unlike many people here believe.

We are in different areas. Your truck around here is a $17000-$18000 truck. Plus the regular cab 4.0 4x4 is a very rare truck. I'm calling squires turbo systems today.... Hmmm 4.0 turbo awd?

Option 2, Ben. Single cabs looks sweet when lifted. I wish I had one. Thing would look sweet jacked up. AND you can both wheel together like many have already said which would be fun.

I would get a extended cab 4 door but thats me. I would look around at many differently set up trucks before getting one myself. Enjoy the stang and take your time for her to pick out the perfect truck for her!

I thought you were looking for something to carry kids in hence the Sport Trac? A single cab Ranger is definitely not kid friendly

We aren't having kids for a long time if ever. It was in the plans but now I think we will just wait or never have them

Do what she want's life will be easier that way LOL, I know a guy who had a 4wd s10 and he slammed it, bagged it and even did the fancy tube work on the back axle like you see some do, it actually turned out pretty nice lookin'. and if you go the semi lifted look, like you said just a tbar crank with some 31-10.5 would look good thats what I got for now. Good luck!

yea, for a wheelin rig. I'm about to shorten up my wheel base to that of a single cab...

but i love the bigger cab to put tools and spare parts in so i can lock it up. That and i can lean the seat back and sleep in the truck for the nights i'm too lazy or drunk to setup my tent

If you bought it I would lift it, not a lot of cab space though.. I'd probably look for a ext cab like stated many times above.. Nice little truck nontheless
