We are looking at a ranger for mustangallie and we checked this out. It hauls a$$ to say the least. 4.0 SOHC Reg cab FTW! And no the mustang is not staying with us :-( It is tough to afford $500+ a month and I'm about to start a 1967 mustang project soon. Plus My wife has grown very fond of rangers lately

2007 Regular Cab 4x4 short bed
4.0 SOHC
4x4
Torch Red
Auto
8.8 with 3.73 limited slip
Loaded
Mint- one owner
27k miles

Can get it for $15 grand... Books for $21,071

Plan 1:
Lower the t-bars 2inchs and level out the rear with 18 inch foose black/chrome nitrous wheels, painted ARE bed cover, Bed rug, black headlights, painted grill, explorer OHC, Magnaflow dual exhaust, xcal3, K&N FIPK, Roush thunderbolt scoop, Remove hitch, Roll pan Black headlight mod, 4.10 LS, Remove nerf bars

Plan 2:
Painted ARE bed cover, Bed rug, black headlights, explorer OHC, , xcal3, K&N FIPK, headlight mod, 3 inch PA body lift, Chrome DC-1's with 33x12.50 BFG M/t's FX-4 fender flares, 4.10 LS, #1 torsion bars w/ chevy shackles. FX4 Offroad stickers on the bed, FX4 hooks, skids. Chrome nerf bars.

4.0 regular cab 4x4 for the price of a 2.3 regular cab? 4cyl rangers bring 15-16k used around here. I know, I know you can buy one new for less than that. doesn't make sense. plus our winters suck and this way she could have a 4x4 and have a street truck too. LOL! We will see!

Lifted or lowered, four-wheel drive is nice to have. I say go with option one if that is what she wants.

I say lift it. But also, make it a little street truck. Slap a blower on it, and that would be a damn quick little ranger.

Exactly! If you already have one vehicle that you wheel then what's the point of having two wheeling vehicles? And if she's not going to wheel it then having it lifted will hurt her on milage so just go ahead and slam it and get great power and pretty decent gas milage.
