Shifter tube installation

I put a new shifter tube in my 2006 4wd 4 litre automatic and now I can’t put the truck in first gear. It goes in P, N, R, D, and 2 fine. Any suggestions Thanks.

I'm about to do the same with my 2011. Figured since I was going in to the area for the bushings it'd be smart to replace the shift column for another $40.00.

Dorman part # 905-102

Were you able to figure out the issue not being able to to get to the lower gear?

And a quick question, is it advisable to lubricate the bushings? I've got a tube of "Honda Genuine Shin-EtsuGrease", it's never failed me in any other application. But I've not seen advisement to lubricate the bushings on a Ford column.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I've started another thread addressing my current issue.
