Shuttle Works Exhaust?

Anybody heard of Shuttle Works mufflers? I have an exhaust shop here in town that wants to put one on my truck instead of a Flowmaster or Gibson, he says the Shuttle Works has better flow and sound.
So, what do you guys think?

true, better sound IS an opinion. look at all the topics on what is better on this forum. Anyway, I dont know anything about exhaust, never been around any rangers with anything but stock, so I dont even know what sounds decent. lol

Im with jeff on this one. Ive heard of shops doing this with the Raven mufflers before, my theory is that if its not a well reputable name dont bother with it.

i think the raven and vortex mufflers are supposed to be flowmaster rip offs. I've never heard of shuttle works before, though. Yeah I agree with above, sound is opinion.. its best to hear it personally, sometimes if you go to a good shop they'll let you test them out on your truck before you decide on one.

hmm, ok guys. give me an opinion on this:
I just called a shop in another town, and HE suggested a single in dual out flowmaster 40, pipes straight out the back, and he quoted me $250. Is that a better deal?

with or without tips?

if you buy the muffler outside the shop you might be able to get it for a little less but thats really not to bad of a price for duals...

not bad, yeah get a quote from him without the price of the muffler.. i got my flow 40 si/do for $50 shipped on ebay, that was a couple years a go, so they might be cheaper now.

Solution: Hack the exhaust off after the cats, add a dump... cheap...but its not the friendliest sounding and your neighbors will probably dawn the pitchforks, mase's, and lanterns and come parading up to your front door for a nice neighborly chat....

I had vortex on my 5.0 and it sounded better then flowmaster hands down, no tinny sounding crap. So, i mean some other brands arnt so bad, considering i ran all name brands on my vehicles (Still do, got magnaflow on my ranger).

For now, ide go with a name brand, unless theres someone in town u can listen to on teh no name one. But dont diss it until u try...or hear it ;-) just my opinion, i was the same way, name brands arnt always the best, considering i dropped a good bit on coin on my magnaflow and it didnt fit the first 2 times

yeah ok... believe what you want, obviously this is a to each his own thing. For some reason I want to think the majority of the people here have flowmasters anyways. So you're sayin that these badass muscle cars with flowmasters sound tinny?

Yes ill say i hate the sound of flowmasters on muscle cars, they all sound the same, Ford, Chevy, or Dodge....

Old saying...You get what you pay for....Pay for a flowmaster u aint gonna get what you like, i dont care how many people have it lol. I have a magnaflow and it sounds way better then a flowmaster any day of the week. Flowmasters are to annoyingly loud and because of that it dont have any tone, not to mention i want to hear my music when im driving not a cheap muffler
