i tore up the valnce on my bumper goin down trails years ago so i got little c-clamps holding the side on,and the foglight is held up with a bungee

well it's held on by a little srew too,but if the bungee cord wasnt on there it would be lightin up behind the bumper,i got another story too i ripped the bumper off my ex's car about 3yrs ago due to hitting a cement pole at a gas station.so i bought some all purpose glue for like $20.she never knew til she hit something

 

heres my latest one haha(not on the truck OBVIOUSLY) lol

anyone who's ever owned a 400 suzuki knows how dumb the rear brakelight is. it's huge, and it kinda sags...

before i did the turndown tip on the exhaust i was running 7 discs. not thinking ahead of time i found out the hard way what this would do. the exhaust came out right ontoo the brakelight causing the plastic bracket to become hot and evntually break. usually if you break it you can simply run a sheetmetal screw back into it and your fine-mine melted the actual lense! woot woot! lol

so a stock housing was $50----no way
so i looked at the led ones that honda uses-$85......WTF!

to be legal at the dunes it has to work so i got the bright idea of making my own light!

and it just so happens the oval trailer lights at napa actually lined up with the existing holes for the stock light!!!

the outcome-$35 for the light AND the chrome cover :)

just so you understand how bright this is-stock led honda lights come with 10 leds
this has 24!!!!! took it to jones beach(local sand spot on the river nothing fancy) it lit up a good 100yards behind me red!!!

 

and the electrical tape on the grab bar is just in case......lol. i do that on all my quads along with 5 heavy duty zipties under the seat :)

 

I was trying to get a stubborn bolt off and all i had was a 3/8 ratchet so i took all the batteries out of my mag light and used it like a pipe to get more leverage. Worked like a charm.

heck yeah! and stainless bolts this time not plasticrap lol

 

Not on my truck, but on my buddies intake hose, on his Toyota, was dryrotted and broke in the trails. I spliced it back together with a Mt.Dew can with the ends cut off and duct tape. I have had a bunch of times like that though, sometimes you gotta do some pretty sketchy things just to get back home.

 

The sad part is when people say "**** it" and leave said sketchy thing on there for a couple weeks cause it's still working. lol

 

My lower rad hoses was rubbing on a pulley after my body lift,took a coat hanger and wrapped it around the frame and the hose. Still on there after 4 yrs.

 

If it is something that I don't trust I make them promise me that they will get it fixed asap. Unfortunately people rarely listen to me. haha

 

Background info first:

Buddies well-off uncle had some property out in the middle of nowhere. We would go and raise hell, i.e. shoot guns, hunt, paintball, whatever when we were in high school.

The story:
Buddy (the nephew) was very late getting there as was usual for him. The rest of us had been there for a couple of hours. When he shows up, he tells us his car is parked on the side of the road. No big deal it's a country road about 3 miles away. Well we <sarcasm>obviously</sarcasm> had to go get it off the road, at the very least. We begin to discuss how to go get said car. Keep in mind none of us had a "proper" towing vehicle. Mine ended up being the closest thing we had. It was a 1985 Pontiac Bonneville with a 302 with a 4 barrel carb and a turbo 300 tranny. <side note> loved that car, plenty of pickup terrible mileage, held enough beer for a whole fridge, lost it to an Explorer....sad, sad day </side note> We then had to find a driver for it since I possibly may not have been in the condition to operate it. Then we had find something in the building that could attach the vehicles to eachother. The only thing remotely useable was some old firehose. So why not! We get to the stranded vehicle (don't forget it's night time) and I crawl under both and tie the appropriate knots. (still don't know why they give me cr@p for Scouts, whatever) And wouldn't you know it, it starts to rain like hell and storm. Everything ended working out just fine and got the Chevette off the road, but it's a night we still talk about!

 

Wired up my exhaust and used a soda can to muffle the noise with muffler tape wrapped around it. Worked great!
