So i rolled *****, my 02 Fx4.

Yup so it happened, i rolled my truck down at the lake a couple weekends ago. Was driving down the beach at night not really paying attention and swerved to miss a firepit someone had dug, spun out and caught some hard sand and rolled up onto the roof. Luckily my passenger and i were safe but the truck is SOL. Insurance gave me a whopping $9167 for it, minus my 500 deductible we walked away with $8667, which is a hell of a deal considering i bought it two years ago for 5600

anywho, i'm needing a new whip and ive been hounding CL and i found a 96 B4000 4wd 5 speed (everyhthing i'd ever wanted, TTB, OHV, 5 speed, no manual t-case though :( ) and i'm going to look at it tomorrow. he's flexible on price but i think i'll offer him no more than 4500 considering the KBB on it is like 4k loaded in good condition.

check the ad boys and tell me what ya think, wish i wouldn't've let insurance take my truck, i coulda taken all the wheels/tires/ axle/ blah blah blah. anywho, heres the ad

anyone know of leveling kits 2" or so to make it level?!

Rough country sells kits for the TTB. Sorry to hear your truck is jacked. Glad to see you are good.

Wirelessly posted (Droid2)

If KBB is 4k, Id start out at 3500. Go much lower and he might feel insulted. Cash is a plus when buying a used vehicle.

Too much for a 96.
they do make a leveling kit, but if you get expo leafs (or add a leaf) and bigger coils, you'll get the same lift with betterish ride.

yeah i've been dealing with a bunch of BS lately, but if i end up with this b4000 i'll be back in here updating everything and posting new stuff with my new TTB ranger! which i would certainly be stoked on haha. my family has a 94 expo with the 4.0 ohv, auto, ttb blah blah and i really like driving him around so i've been keen on looking for 1993-1997s for the last while.

and annguyen, get real. the booby prize? try me looking my *** off for my last truck which i found with 115k for a whopping $5600. the TRADE IN value for it, i knew i was getting a kickass deal and that it was worth about, say, 9 grand which is, woah, exactly what i got. the booby prize was me finding a deal not collecting what the car was worth

i think he was making a comment about not paying attention and crashing.

either way, it wasn't needed.

Um, yeah... I was talking about the fact that you rolled your truck. The fact that you got a great deal is just great. Glad you got more than what you paid... but in the end, you'll be paying much more for increased premiums for the next 5-7 years (I've heard conflicting stories as to how long someone pays extra after an at-fault accident).

i was on the beach, no injury, no collision, no police report and an accident. i'll pay at MOST $30 more a month for the next 5 years which, you're right, can amount up to a lot, but i'm counting my blessing and thanking the luck.

i won't find another level 2 for in my price range... plus i like the ttb and if i wanted to, i could "make it into" a level II pretty easily i'd imagine.
