Ok everyone else says when they go to another sort of car or whatever so heres my post!

Sold my Ranger and got a 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged 5-Spd. Black with Black leather interior, premium sound, shaved emblems and black bowtie.

Reasons being I wanted a sporty something, trying to make my truck sporty wasnt enough. Also next to my shop a dealership had this car sitting there.





I wanted one since 04 before they came out but didnt have the money for it. I talked to the sales guy and found out it was a 06 with 11,640 miles on it. I then said meh Ill test drive it. Drove it and WOW I mean wow this car pulls better then the Firebird Formula that I just worked on (though the firebird was auto and had 150k miles on it). I then was about to go on my way when I saw the $23k price tag. The guy said well since your our next door neighbors Ill see what I can do. Next day he calls me and says "well wholesale on the car is 19,700. For you I can do out the door 18,000" So I thought wow good deal. Now I tried to get into an F150 before and as most people know you never get what you want for your trade, most any ford would give me was ~9 for it. I went in and got 13K for my truck. I owed 11 on it.

All in all it has every feature I wanted my truck to have but couldnt get due to being 19 and a first time buyer with little credit built up. However Im still on these forums because you guys rock! Just dont be hating on the bowtie! I know I joke bout the big wing and that I have my tow straps in the back from my truck. Plus every chevy guy has a friend with a ford to save his ***! Its why Im keepin the tow straps in the car!

Awesome car. I really want to trade my truck in, but will never get what I want for it. Was your Ranger a single or supercab 2d or 4d? Power everything? Cruise? Tilt?

 

What about your new wheels and tires? did those go with the Ranger???????!!!!!!!!!!?????

 

Not a real big Chevy fan, but those Cobalts look good. Especially with no emblems...drool.

 

Oh BTW lose the wing, get some darker headlights and some black rims

 

Truck was 4 door with everything but leather. Trade in value of excellcent condition 12,100 and I got 13000 with owing 11,383.

Rims and tires were sold to a friend for what I payed for them. They went on a 02 Mustang. He is taking the tires off and putting them on his friends truck.

I want to do the black headlights like so many have done on rangers, and I want some black rims for sure too! The wing I dunno about yet, I havent looked into other options. They have some good stage 1-5 options for the cars too!

 

We have an 06 Cobalt for my wifes car. Very nice little car, no problems so far. Knock on wood..lol

I love Cobalt's man, I was seriously thinking of selling my Ranger for one also.... but I decided to just keep the truck.

Looks ok I guess. I am not a fan of little cars especially when they wear bowties. Enjoy! You definately need Black headlights and wheels.

ha.. you know the ranger is considered 'compact' right? My 'little car' has much more cabin room than my ranger did..

 

I do know that, but it is a truck. It's higher up, it has a bed and I can play with it off-road. I don't really like cars. They are to low(hard for me to get in and out of with my bad knees). Basically I just don't like cars(with a couple of exceptions, but I still probably wouldn't own another one).

They are nice cars, my buddy has the SS non-supercharged. It is pretty darn fast as is, I can't imagine it with a blower! Any mod plans??

 

least u got the s/c one..my buddy has one. not to shabby but i still dont like em cause it has 2 doors :)...im a 4 door fanatic..taurus sho, jeep grand cherokee, and now nissan sentra ser spec v
