Sold the Truck, Need Ideas
Well, I just sold the ranger. I got company wheels and I need something bigger that can fit more than two people comfortably. I am looking at three options:
1- F-150 Crew Cab
2- Dodge Dakota Quad Cab
3- Toyota Tacoma Double Cab.
Who has any suggestions? I am thinking probably a Dakota or Tacoma, I know this is blasphemy but Ford refuses to make a crew cab Ranger, and a Sport Trac bed is just too small for me. Thanks all

The taco will get up and go, at least the one i rode in, but it was so lightweight and plasticy inside. I haven't ever been impressed with a dakota. I m also biased on the F-150 but they are priced so good with gas going up and the mileage is not much different than that of the ranger, at least in my case it was similar (within 1-2mpg). I vote F-150 not because of brand loyalty, but because of value you get for the money. Do you need the screw? My scab has plenty o room for the occasional passengers I have.

Out of the trucks listed... Go with a f150... They last forever, they have plenty of room and have way more power than the other two. Plus I've owned a new taco with a 4.0. They get about 13-15 mpg which is what you will get out of a f150. It's a no brainer! I mean come on F150's tow as much as most 3/4 tons.

Well, I have been in all three. My dad had an 08 Taco for work and my aunt has an 06 Taco. They're nice, but they are also expensive for what you get. I like the F-150, but I don't really think I need a full size yet. Dodge I am just unsure of because I have heard few good things about them. Keep the info coming, this is very helpful! I am also resigned to the fact that I want a crew cab versus cab and a half. I may be short, but I know too many tall people. lol

I vote F-150. If I didn't have so much invested in my truck and like it so much I would jump on the 150 boat.

I wish I had pics too, I was with my grandpa and his buddies they don't even know what a camera is or how to use one. Just picture an f150, a 3/4 alloy chain, a 2 ton truck, a trailer with a garage about 12 foot wide and a bunch of old farmers lol

After doing more looking I have narrowed it down to the Dakota and the Taco. I think the F150 would just be too big. I found a nice looking Dakota I am going to check out later this week. I had to call and make sure they didn't make an error in the listing.
2007 Dodge Dakota, Burnsville, MN, Truck Short Quad Cab, Dodge of Burnsville Stock: 13967
If I could just find a slightly cheaper Taco I would jump on it, but the best I can seem to find is still right around 20K. Oh well, the search goes on I guess. Thanks everyone for their input. I really appreciate it.
