Soooo... opinions..

i need a set of sliders and then i'll be building a cage, exo or interior...
hopefully the sliders will go on relitively soon...
i want to kep running 35s, mainly because i cant afford another set of tires..
so my proposal is, should i take the fenders off and trim/cut the hell outa the bed sides?
what would that look like?
i dont wanna get the cage(s) done and sliders and flat bed.. then take the BL off when i do the SAS when ever i get around to it... then have to redo all the mounting locations

Worry about the sas first. Everything you mentioned revolves around that. This way you don't have to do things twice, spend money twice, twice as long......
But as for the sliders that shouldn't be too bad if you decide to take off the bl.

yea sliders wouldnt be that bad.. but once i get to my chassis fabrication class i have to do a project work 15 or more points to pass.. i was gonna do the exo/interior/combination cage and/or flatbed as the project since i wont have the money for a SAS by then.. unless i somehow win the lotto
Then i say do the flatbed for your project. That shouldn't interfere with the removal of your bl or the future sas. And if you have time make the sliders. Cutting up the body would be my last resort. If it was my truck i would flatbed it and exo cage the cab.
thats my current plan, especially after my mall krawlin incident...
and i'll probably come through the back of the cab and maybe back out the front somewhere and tie the exo into an interior cage because an interior cage is stronger.. the exo will be more for sliding along stuff..
anddd on top of all that im not sure if i want to take the BL off when i do the SAS.. i cant decide if i wanna do it and run 35-36s w/o the BL or run the BL and 38s..

thats pretty funny... lol
my friends have a shop now that they live in, and just got a welder so who knows... maybe i'll get a flatbed on in a few weeks
a front receiver will be my first chore though, the flatbed will only happen if i/they get a bender

thats what i want to do, but my problem is i dont have the cash to get 33s right now.
maybe i'll just do a flatbed right now and take the BL off when it comes closer to that class when i do the cage (if i can)

can i cut them back far enough, or am i going to hit the firewall?
im not sure how much travel my new coils have (750# hypercoils)

your travel wont change or be larger when you change spring rate... now that rate may not let the shock compress as much but your over all travel of your suspension wont be more if anything less.
I am thinking about pulling my BL but there are a few more things I have to figure out yet to make sure it all clears.
You ran 35s with just a BL for a bit the RCD should be more lift than just a BL, so there will be a bit more clearance just enough to get you buy for a while. No sense in downgrading tire sizes.

i know it doesnt change my travel, what i meant what that they wont move that far.
how many bolts/tabs are there to get the fender off? edge wannabe would probably know
i'll try and find a job, but new hubs then i'll get a HF bender/kinker and some metal and start welding.

thats how it should be done.. im not sure how im going to eventually connect the interior cage to the exterior cage besides through the back wall or possibly the roof...
but the exo will be connected via sliders and fenders to bumper..
