transmissions both are good and bad. pick one and stick with it and you can make it great.

Oh damnit I'm going to post again...
What's not to agree with a smooth ride? The F150 isn't "soft", it is plenty capable and will haul/tow a load. It just happens to have a nice smooth ride with a firmer frame and be much smoother off pavement. I don't see any problems with that? Ever see how twisted up the frame gets on the older body style F-series truck? It is almost scary.
I would love a manual transmission, transfer case and hubs though. Fortunately you can still get all of that in the super duty.
If you are seriously considering a sport trac, pm me. I had one and I loved it, but after a little more than a year I traded it for the F150.

do we really wanna argue 'luxury items' in trucks???? Serious right now?
Ready for this......you sure?........ guess when trucks started to turn into nice riding, highly optioned form of transportation, that became more carlike?? For Chevy, it was 1947, then even more carlike in 55, then even MORE in 60 with the intro of front independent suspension.

Yup. 4.6, I believe. and I think even some 5.4's, but I could be wrong. I know definitely 4.6, with all power options, and even ex cab!
Trust me, I looked at a few
I looked at 11 trucks total. From mid size to a super duty. The guys down at that dealer were probably extremely annoyed with me, as I came to them about 4 days total, lol.

The next ride could be a Ranger this time with a 4.0, but heard about it's somewhat so so mileage that the newer F-150's bout the same.
What's the tank size/estimated mpg on an F-150 reg cab (6.5 bed) 4.6? My dad's 2005 4.6L XL Supercab (bigger gastank) 4x4 is a super slow gashog. Then again it's close to 100k. Another note, the 4.6L in Panther cars (Crown Vic/GM/TC) can get up to late 20's highway but with 2.73 gear ratio.

Depends on what it is in and which 4.6. As long as its a reg cab its not bad, but especially if it is the 3V 4.6 it'll run close to the 5.4. However if you go bigger then a reg cab definitely get the 5.4. I would hate it if my dads crew cab had the 4.6 in it lol.

Basically I have driven them all, I mean im in the rental industry in my one job and have driven them one by one
They are all great trucks to be honest but its all in the person who is buying its taste, the tundra is fast but big and gaudy to be honest it does haul *** though, titan is quick but just boring and doesnt appeal to me. The dodge ram isnt a bad truck you definitely feel your ***** grow and inch or 2 with the turn of the key and The new silverado is prob one of the best trucks chevy has put out in years and definitely nice to drive over the previous 2 I just dont like how low for a fullsize they sit, put a plow on a front end of a 4x4 silverado and its like driving a slammed truck it looks like and my fav is the f150 its nice truck to drive and just doesnt seem cheaply built.
And out of all the trucks, the 150 gives us the least issues and least amount of problems.
