how do i soup up my v6 2.9L engine besides buting bigger pistens, KN air filter.

 

im not sure if they make one for the 2.9 but a supercharger, dual exhaust, cold air intake, bama chip, headers

dunno if it works on the 2.9. Prolly not but it's worth a shot.

 

marcos, post up some more info on your truck like year, auto or manual, Std cab or extra cab, long bed or short bed. This will help to answer the question. I am dumb when it comes to 2.9's. If it's carbed a tuner won't apply but I don't know if it is or not. Post up the info and I'll see if headers, exhaust, pulleys, and stuff are made for it.

 

he has a 91 or 92, auto, extended cab, short bed, and he supposedly has aftermarket exhaust already. he thinks he has a better truck than me, but he doesn't. (he's only beat me in a race because i let him)

No tuner for a 2.9 doesnt have a OBDII port to plug into, may not even have a PCM.

It changes your computer to optimize the air/fuel ratio and ignition timing. I don't think it willl work with your vehicle.

so thats all i can do to "SOUP" It up pretty much then.

cam, pigger pistons, supercharger, or bour it into a 4.0, and make the walls paper thin.
