Spied! 2012 Ford Ranger T6 Global Small Pickup
#27
Personally, that's a real ugly truck to me.
As for the guy that said to update the Ranger, I agree.
I disagree on how, though. To me, the size of the Ranger is perfect.
I think they should offer a mid size, but; with gas prices, etc, I'd keep a small pickup too.
I'd make it a bit more solid, update the styling inside and out and improve the efficiency of the drivetrain offerings and call it done.
Then I'd produce a F100 midsize to compete with the Dakota's and Yota's.
To me, trucks are getting too big for the average person.
F150's are huge now. When you need a man step to get in and out, it's ridiculous for a stock truck. I like to get stuff in and out of the bed when needed without a step ladder.
I have a small horse farm, and trust me, the Ranger get's used as a truck.
I like it the way it is, just would like it to be a bit more solid and efficient.

you speak the truth.
Its an engineering mule. Its an existing body (asian Mazda) on top of a frame and running gear of the new model. Its not what the new truck is gonna look like. The body already exists, thats why its not even covered that well in some shots. No sense hiding whats already avaialble in some parts of the world.
When the Flex was being tested, i remember seeing spy shots of the cars that were based in really hacked looking Freestyles that had terrible looking body stretches done to them. Everyone online was gasping about how hacked it looked when that wasnt the point of the mule. It was about drivetrain testing, nothing else.

I dont know about you guys, but im in no position to to be buying a new truck anyway. If that first pic is what the ranger is going to turn into, im not interested. I love my current truck and am planning on keeping it for a long, long time. And when i do decide to get another truck its gonna be a 74 quadcab (dream truck).

From what I understand, Zach's dad works for Ford and Zach has also worked with Roush. He knew about the F150's, the Rapter SVT, etc etc.
I'm sure he can't tell us anything concrete due to... company policies... but I like to believe Zach (from time to time anyways, haha)
