Ok I have a 1997 ford ranger and I have relpaced the battery, altenater, and the starter. Any ideas as to why my truck still doesnt want to start?

Doesn't start has two meanings?

Does starter motor turn the engine?

Starter motor turns the engine but engine doesn't fire up

If starter motor doesn't work then in 1997 it could be the No Start In Gear, unless Automatic is in Park or unless Clutch pedal is push down all the way starter motor won't activate

So do you have an automatic or manual transmission?

For any year, battery cables to the starter motor could be bad.

Why did you change the Alternator?
Was there another issue besides the No Start?
