Oh, and I've been pulled over by both more than once, Not the peace officer since we all work out of the same office and know each other

 

In Brooklyn Park, the next city over, they have a couple black chargers and a couple gray Charger RT/S's or what ever the fancy high end model is with the big motor. They are under cover and hide under over passes, you cannot see them they blend in so well.

There was one at a gas station one day while I was getting gas and I asked the cop about it and got to look inside. I want one....

 

Holy crap. I have never seen those. I drive through bham all the time. I'm guessing they are more show cars then anything else?

i think its up in summit county up in vail that they have a blacked out charger with black sherriffs decals on it. it looks mean. i passed it on the highway doin 75 in aa 65 and didnt notice it was a police car until i was right up next to it.

 

You have to watch yourself now-a-days. Cops are running all types of cars marked and unmarked. Jersey is buying the new charger r/t's. You can not tell they are cop cars untill they hit the lights. No markings, no push bars, not light bars. Only thing they do is put leds in all the stock lights and hook up some wiggle waggles.

My uncle is a state trooper in Delaware and he more offten than not is in sezied cars. They seize them light them up and send them out. You wouldn't know he was a cop untill he was behind you with the lights on. It's nuts! Tampa has a 05-06 white 250 they use. No markings or anything, I've seen it twice in person and about a dozen times on Speeders on trutv.

 

Oh the worst stretch of I-70 is the one between Gennesee and Floyd Hill... they camp on the underpass there just as you get into Clear Creek County and have 6 of them sitting waiting to tag traffic... both westbound and eastbound.

 

Ty, we also have a BMW 330I unmarked, Hundai Elantra, Chevy 1500s, Dodge Durangos, and pretty much any other kind of car they find in impound.... Scary to see how easy it is to miss them.

No pic of the local Sheriff's Dept. They have all Crown Vic's. I have heard that they have a Lincoln Navigator that had been inpounded, but they only drive it in the winter. I also heard that they recently impounded a WRX STi and that it was the DARE car now... Lol

On a side note, my county apparently made national news (so I heard) because they can no longer afford to have a 3rd shift deputy on duty. That is correct, not like they have ONLY ONE to patrol the county, but they don't even have 1.

 

Ace pretty much nailed Illinois with the crown vic's. I have seen a few new Impala's too with the same yellow stripe. But I know on I-39 they like to use unmarked vehicles.

I've seen 2 of these on I-80 in the last 2 years.


Heres the list I've seen:

Early 90's red camaro.
2002ish Blacked out suburban - had his 4 ways on then pulled over the guy that passed me
Crown Vic's - Almost any color including that ugly greenish one
Black Dodge Magnum - Tinted windows and all.

 

I do computer work for the Illinois state police posts down in the southern part of the state and have seen a few marked Explorers as well.

 

Lakeway (rich *** suburb of Austin) Has BMWs, Camaros etc.

Austin has started making the decals on the side the same as the paint, so you can't really see them w/o looking at it from the side.

Almost all of the Iowa State Patrol cars look like this... they finally started getting some chargers though.

 

I just don't mess with base looking Chargers period...if I see one down the road, I slow down.

i saw some dumbass driving like a douche up 183, cutting people off, doing probably 80.. he cut off the kinda-unmarked crown vic then went up I35.. needless to say he didn't make it very far up 35.


I have some talent for spotting cops. maybe its why i dont have any tickets, maybe i'm just lucky, but i can normally pick them out.
