Steering Column Mount

Steering Column Mount
I bought a new set of guages, dual A-pillar, and the mustang steering column mount.
On the steering column mount, what all needs to be trimmed so that it will be a direct fit?
I already bought one and butched it trying to get it to fit, so I ordered another one but wanna do it right.....stupid I know.

Yes, I know, I gave it hell to try to get it to fit. Do you know what actually has to be trimmed so that it will fit?

Sorry, I don't know the particulars for trimming it. I've never actually installed a Mustang pod directly to a Ranger column but I own one so I'm familiar with the shape. I have a dual column pod half finished in a box somewhere that I abandoned because I swapped in a 302/automatic. The column pod is part Autometer/F150 and part Autometer/Mustang and will probably get finished and installed when I the truck goes back to manual again.

Bumb, for anyone who decides to use the mount, don't use the mustang one, it's a ***** to trim and doesn't fit at all. Get the F-150 one even for a manual, it's almost a direct fit. All you have to do to the F150 mount is trim by the key and the key release. I'll post a pic of mine for anyone who doesn't believe me.
