Stock Drivesaft with RCD = BAD BAD BAD PICS INSIDE

well my stock driveshaft gave out after 1000 miles of being on there with a lift.

here are the pics. the drivesaft is dead
the shaft has metal pieces all up inside the grease so a superlift driveshaft will come after wheels and tires.

i know the feeling, mine went out last week after about 5k miles with the lift, it was making like a grinding rubbing noise like i was dragging a chain under my truck or something, and i took it off and sure enough it was shot... i put the superlift one on today, that thing is beefy!

you ought to get yourself a temp one off another Ranger (same style ofcourse) until you can get the Superlift shaft.....that way you will have 4wd.....

also, keep an eye out on ebay....they are on there for around $150-$200 every now and then....

The funny thing is that superlift and RCD say it will last for 20k or something miles. I am thinking thats with a new truck and the kit is installed. Otherwise you already have wear on the front one without having a lift.
