It's all apart of this crazy game we call life.
I had a funny noise coming from the front end of my truck.......so I pulled into a gas station and went in the rear parking lot where it was empty. I rolled my window down stuck my head out and started doing big figure 8's really really slowly. Well I started off in the middle of the parking lot, but watching your tire while going forward isn't recommended.....at all!!
My troubleshooting technique ended pretty quickly as I nailed one of those yellow cement bollards. Good thing it was there though......or else the ice box would have taken a nice hit. Needless to say, it was an expensive lesson. Replacing the fog's, safari bar, lower front valance, bumper mount, knock the dent from the bumper, and repaint the bumper and lower valance......it was almost $1000.
Here's the kicker, the sound ended up being loose front wheel nuts. The rim was moving back and forth from the nuts NOT being tight enough. Needless to say, I hand torque my nuts now.......and you can quote that! I have an electric impact gun, but I don't trust the torque settings.

Not my truck but my car.
Went to visit a buddy before a blind date. I knew his driveway had a steep section at the bottom in one part. I have owned the car for 7 years and never had an oops but wouldn't you know it I skuffed the entire left bottom of the bumper. I was so p**sed. I auto cross the car and knocked a few cones around the parking lot and still did more damage in the 2 seconds at the bottom of the driveway. And the thing with the girl never worked out or even into a 2nd date. And I always bring the truck to his place now.

I had an old beater F-150 that I only used on my deer lease down in Texas. To turn it around on the two-tracks that meandered around on it I'd just go forward until I hit a tree, back it up until I hit another tree and repeated the process until I got turned around. As my wife discovered the hard way, Exxon cards don't change flats out in the boonies. We had a spare but no jack

well since everyone else is telling their stupid moments...
I was out driving in an open field with nothing around except a pipe about half a foot wide and sticking up like 1 foot. It had 4 stakes around it with orange flags so nobody would hit it....well I hit it. I was looking to the left and the truck suddenly stopped so fast that I flew forward and smacked my head on the windshield. I was going about 10mph when I hit it. I got some light scratches on my bumper, with a nice chip and dent in my front crossmember. My head had a nice bump on it to.
dent looks smaller in the pic.
The best part is I hit the same pipe again the next time I went out there. That time it put a nice dent in my drivers side lower control arm.
