I haven't posted in a while, been super busy with my degree. About a month ago my truck started having trouble starting. It would always start, but sometimes took longer than others. I ignored the problem until about a week ago my truck sounded different. The exhaust sounds so weird. Whenever at WOT I can hear the exhaust pipes rattling it sounds like. It also seems that the truck has significant power loss. I'm thinking it might be a cat. Any suggestions?

 

It's not pinging or valvetrain/cam noise is it?

PS - I was going to say I haven't see you're username around in a long time, glad to see you still in the Ranger.

 

how many miles? I bet you probably need to do plugs/wires/coil pack. Sounds just like what my old truck did.
