stuck in drive, shifter is free
stuck in drive, shifter is free
well when i got home the other day i went to put it in reverse to back in my drive way and the shifter just moved freely like nothin was there so i pulled into my driveway and crawled under my truck and noticed the shifter cable was broken right by where it goes by the exhuast so i was wondering where i could get a new cable and how hard is it going to be to replace cause everyplace around here acts like the freakin thing dont exist except for the steelership and its 117$ there but im more worried about how hard its gonna be, thanks guy
can anyone please tell me how hard its gonna be to change my shifter cable on my truck cause i ordered it today and will pick it up tomorrow and have no idea what i got commin, so do any of you guys know what i should be expecting? thanks and im gonnna be attempting this tomorrow so i need to know soon lol so at least i have an idea
just got done doin it and its actually not that bad, it only took me liike 1 1/2 hrs to do but woulda taken me shorter if i wouldnt have done stuff i didnt need to do like remove the dash **** under the steering wheel, and the old cable is bad lol prolly got pinched in the wreck or somethin and i did it all without a book
damn sorry to hear i wish i would have read this a couple days ago... i have a tranny cable in a 5 gallon bucket along with a bunch of randon ranger stuff... it was left over from my tranny swap... i would have given it to ya for shipping...
ya i know, i thought about doin that but im not good at explaining stuff and i woulda skipped a lota stuff you gotta do so i didnt wanna say how to do it wrong or somethin, but that did cross my mind lol
