Summit Racing Truckfest 2010
Summit Racing Truckfest 2010
Went to Truckfest today to check out the scene. No Rangers at first but once we walked around we found some cool ones.
I was walking down the main drag and I noticed a familiar looking tan 99 with "ranger-forums.com" stickers on the windows. Sure enough Clayton was chilling on the tailgate so I introduced myself and we shot the sh*t for a little while. It was cool to meet an R/F member in person. Need to upgrade to 06 mirrors dude!! Those flags are a disgrace!! HAHAHA.
I took a few pictures, mostly of Rangers. Tons of lifted 80s F-150s and 80s/90s Fullsize Chevys. A bunch of lowered S10s. A few Off-Road shops set up. Jeeps old and new. A whole muddin' club that took over a corner. It was a good time. Much better than Super Summit and Camarofest.
It would be cool to get the Pittsburg Tri-State up there next year to rep for R/F and Rangers in general. Maybe make it a whole weekend meet thing or something. Just an idea.
Enjoy the pictures and I hope to see more Rangers next year!!

actually that wasn't as bad as the red jeep on the blue jeep at the end. the blue jeeps flare was at almost a complete 90 degree lol.
Those things are to easy to modify and go off roading in. They make it to simple for people to go off roading in. You need something that you have to do the work on to make it right trailable. That way you have an idea of what it can do.
they are easy to modify but difficult to master when custom built. many people rollthem cause they are so short... they can become very challenging to drive in soft sandy hills and rocks.
but yes, perfect entry vehicle

It was nice to meet you as well Kevin. I really was surprised there weren't many rangers there. I was there for about 3 1/2 hours and saw one other lifted ranger and a few lowered ones. But it was a great time. And about the flag mirrors, I always get dogged on those haha, but I doubt I'll be changing them anytime soon. I got some pics as well and sorry if some are blurry I was on the move when taking most of these:
The only other lifted Ranger I saw:

I liked this Jeep out of most of them:

I really liked this f-150

And this f-250

sick paint job. Super glossy paint
