tailgate question

i'm moving a couple fridges tomorrow (now today since it's after midnight). anyways, i'm using a ramp to get them into the bed. my question is, would the cables be strong enough for that brief moment the fridge is on the bed or should i just take the tailgate off and put the ramp right on the bed above the bumper?

tailgates are rated for 500 pounds MAX at any given time. so yea for that brief moment your good.

it'll be fine... i've put a 600 lb grizzly 700 quad in the back of my ranger, 2- 300 pound racing lawnmowers hanging over the bed rail... it was fine..

I've had my triple cylinder yamaha snowmobile (heavy sucker) in the back of my truck a dozen times and zero problems.
